Me too! I am DYM and Heather's Mom. My husband and I are also empty-nesters and I would love to hear your take on things.
I appreciated your "favorite things" on my site this morning and asked Shannon to set me up with your site, so I could respond. I follow your daughter's blog and think she is wonderful.
I just read your complete profile. We have so many of the same interests, books, movies, etc. I think I could have found my blogging buddy. I've just gotten into quilting myself and am completely hooked.
Wow! Mimi, we've got a lot in common! Are you a PCA'er like Shannon? My husband is a new RE at our PCA church. Reformed theology is one of my favorite topics.
I am a gifted ed teacher, mother of two 30+ kids, wife of a wonderful husband (who is my best friend), grandmother of six, and Christian. I love reading and learning. I was born in 46 which makes me an original boomer. I love my Lord Jesus and learning more about His Word.

Hi, Kim in IL and Grammy!! I'm glad to meet you. I've really been wanting to hear from someone! You gals both sound like people I'd like to know.
I guess I need to go read your profile, too! I'm a quilter, but not yet an empty nester.
Keep posting, friends!
